Sunninghill is a small, friendly well-equipped nursery situated converted chapel in a residential road in Sunninghill, Berkshire. The nursery is a single storey building which has been designed and equipped to meet the needs of children from 3 months to 5 years.
The nursery has a baby and toddler room and a separate Pre-School room. The baby and toddler room have separate sleep room so that babies and toddlers can have peace and quiet whilst they sleep. We also have a large play gym and soft play area which gives the children the opportunity for active play indoors. We provide a wide variety of activities appropriate to the child’s age and stage of development to support their learning, development and wellbeing.
We have two small outdoor areas where we provide activities with water or paint. We have a mud kitchen for mixing and making mud pies. To enhance our outdoor provision, we have an agreement to use a large secure outdoor area in the grounds of St. Michaels school which is very close to the nursery. The children also attend the Forest School at The Marist School (set in 55 acres of beautiful woodland) weekly. (Read more about our nursery rooms and outdoor play below)
The children are also taken on trips to the local area and get involved with activities happening in the local community.
