Parents As Partners colours.gifparent and daughter.JPG

We value our partnerships with you and believe that these are of utmost importance to the children in our care and therefore we work with parents in the following ways to ensure that there is a close link between nursery and home:-

  • Parents' Evening - these are held twice yearly, one of which is formal and gives you the opportunity to discuss, in detail, your child’s progress on a 1:1 basis. You will also be invited to attend an informal evening, which usually takes the form of a cheese and wine evening and provides an opportunity to view your child’s work and talk to nursery staff.
  • We operate an ‘open door’ policy - parents are welcome to phone or visit any time.  However if at any time you have any concerns about your child’s health and development, you can speak to the Manager or key carer.
  • Daily Diaries and Notice Board – these give details such as activities during the day, food eaten, nappy changing information, sleep times, etc. and are shared with you at the end of the day.
  • Newsletter - a quarterly newsletter is written by each nursery giving reminders of events, what the children have been doing and any other general information.  This is emailed to you.

As well as the above, we also have lending libraries, chatter packs, ‘parents helping at nursery’ days, Christmas concerts, summer fun days and much more.
